With a career spanning nearly two decades in professional minor league basketball, Mark King brings a rare combination of elite coaching experience, academic expertise, and deep personal empathy to the court.


Since stepping into professional coaching in 2005, Mark has dedicated his life to developing athletes. In 2017, he channeled that passion into launching his own youth basketball academy to help shape the next generation of players. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University, Mark's approach to the game goes far beyond X’s and O’s.


His own basketball journey is a testament to perseverance—an unlikely success story that provides him with a wealth of relatable, real-world lessons. He shares these experiences to inspire resilience in his players, building his program on three unwavering pillars: faith, optimism, and an elite work ethic.


Beyond the gym, Mark is a devoted husband and father of three daughters, all of whom are actively involved in competitive sports. Because he lives it every day, he truly understands the parental perspective. Mark knows firsthand the invaluable life lessons youth sports teach, as well as the real-world challenges families navigate when balancing time management and budgets.

Bernie Mapili Jr. is the Chief Financial Officer of the Florida Basketball Association (FBA), where he brings over two decades of diverse experience in business, finance, and accounting. With a strong background in business leadership, Bernie transitioned to roles including Assistant Controller at PulteGroup and General Manager of Community Associations, before founding Envy Labs and Code School.
